The crew at Balanced Electric changed my life. I had a 13KV gas portable generator and transfer box to the house. It was OK for running the pumps, lights, fridges and the freezer. Getting it started, hooking it up, bringing the loads on in the pitch black middle of winter storms or other outages was getting too hard on my old body. Balanced electric walked us through the process and set us up with a propane 24KV that runs everything in the house. It automatically turns itself on and off. When the wind, rain, snow, ice and fires are raging we won't have a worry. Balanced Electric has our backs, hot showers and forced air heat/AC to boot. The wood stove can just be about the ambience now.

The Balanced Electric Team did a fantastic job on my generator project. They didn't just help install a generator, but helped me to ensure that the entire project would meet my objectives, and that it would function properly for the long term. We live out of town on a well, and in the event of a long power outage, we need water! The system needs to function as a whole, including the fuel supply, which actually ended up changing my initial plan significantly (and for the better). They had great advice here, that I would have messed up myself, even though I'm a mechanical engineer! They even helped me to reduce the size of the generator by managing one of my circuits. I wanted a smaller generator with lower baseline fuel consumption, because my goals were to optimize toward longer time off grid. Their work is impeccable and they were easy to collaborate with, where much of the site work I did myself (which saves money). The electrical inspector of course knew the team all by name and spoke very highly of their work as well! The entire process was fantastic and they do projects right. Living at least 60 miles from a metropolitan area, contractors selection is limited, but Balanced Electric made all the bad contractor experiences go away. They were very easy to talk to, they understood my concerns and they performed as agreed. Us being the buyers my nose was into everything that was being done and not once was I ask to leave them alone, they simply answered my probably dumb questions. Great company to work with that I think had a desire to satisfy the customer.

I called this company and never received a call back. I sent them emails and they finally called. We made an appointment for service and they did not show up. They did not call to reschedule or notify me they were not coming. I called again, no response. I called a week later to reschedule, no response. I do not recommend these people for anything Generac related.
