Expert mechanic, good dealer

B&R did a great job fixing my iq3500. I called them and I told them what the issue was. No problem, just bring in the generator to the back and drop it off. Mechanic is amazing... ran diagnostics and tests and did things with the machine I didn't know was possible... Gave me a rough timeline and quote, which he would later call and give me updates on. Generator runs like a charm! Dealer answered any questions I had. They made sure I felt comfortable with the machine befre they took any payment.

Great service from family business

B&R did a great job fixing my generator. This is an old school mom and pop shop so I understand when some people say it's not "professional". There is also a little bit of a language barrier but I could tell they are trying to communicate with me, so I can only respect their effort! The mechanic explained everything to me step by step, not all at once. After helping me unload the generator, I let him know what I thought the issue was. He listened, then ran the generator through a series of tests and identified an issue with the engine. Once we agreed to fix the issue, I paid a deposit fee. I received a call about a week later explaining what parts would need to be ordered, an estimate for those parts and labor, and whether to proceed. It wasn't a fast process, but they gave me very timely updates which I appreciated. All in all I think it took about 3 weeks to receive. Way worth it over buying a new generator. The mechanic demonstrated to me that the generator was fixed, then gave me a few pointers on how to maintain and prolong the lifespan of my machine. Plus, after getting to interact with the owners (who are extremely friendly and fair) it feels good to support this small business! Definitely coming back

Very unprofessional

I received a generac pressure washer in the mail with a broken part. Retailer's and Generacs instructions where to take it to an authorized service dealer to get the part swapped out. I called B&R to make sure that they can get the part and replace under warranty. I offered to send them pictures so they see exactly what is broken and I would not have to drive out there for nothing. They refused. They said I have to bring it in. Ok, so I bring it in they look at it and tell me that they don't know if generac will cover it. That they have to send it in and getting a response will take 1 to 2 weeks. I explained to them that that i can just return the power washer to the reseller without the hassle and that it would be easier if they can just call Generac and find out if this will be covered and order the part. Their response was that they don't want to take the time to be on hold and go through the process because they don't know if they will get paid on the job. They really didn't want to have anything to do with this repair. Overall, they are very unprofessional, the shop is a mess, and I would not take anything there to get work done on. Only positive I can think of is that they must be super cheap!
