AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

These guys are terrible at servicing Generac products. You need to call 3-5 times to get them out for a service call. Called 4 months ago and told I was “on the list”. Today the power failed and my generator didn’t kick on because of the problems I had cited to them! Techs are great but the management of this company is pathetic. Generac needs to boot them off their list of service providers! DO NOT USE

Choose another company.

Some guy in the office (Larry??) was very argumentative from the start of my conversation with him. He knows he's the only certified company in the area and he has us all over a barrel when it comes to service and warranty issues. He treated me, the paying customer, as if I was inferior and didn't know what I was talking about and challenged me to start installing generators myself. HE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE THE FACE OF GENERAC. - To be clear the Generac product itself is a 5 star product - Avery County Electric doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating. In all fairness, the field guy, Josh was nice and knowledgeable.

High quality work

Had gotten several quotes for a home generator however upon looking closer Avery County Electric was the only one who was going to use quality parts and materials and, install in a manner to maximize the strength and life of the generator. They actually drilled under my driveway and built a concrete pad with all the pipes coming up under the generator! The install is extremely clean and professional and in a spot I selected after other installers said it was not possible.

Whole Home Generator Install-FANTASTIC!

Recently moved to the mountains of Western NC and my family wanted to wire our home with a whole home Generac 22KW. From start to finish-professional, dedicated and hardworking! Despite the delays with the propane tank delivery, install, running of lines and county inspection, Daniel, Josh and the crew could not have been more accommodating! I have read some of the reviews here and I could not disagree more against using this company! They came to me highly rated and though they are 1 and 1/2 hours from me, totally worked around my schedule (here "Mountain time" is a real thing lol! Awesome, awesome work and experience! THANK YOU AVERY!!

Poor after service

Had to constantly call for regular maintenance, each year. Plus failure to act on warranty repair.

Very poor service

I bought a home that has a Generac already installed and noticed the service light has come on. I called the company that installed it to get service and that was back in January. I have called 6 times since then , each time I was told I was on the list for service for the following week . Here it is May and still no service has been done or returned phone call. Stir Clear of this company. I do not recommend this company at all.

Very Disapointed

I called for home visit, got an appointment and time, left work early to meet rep. no one showed up. called office set up a new appt, the next day the rep called and wanted to come 4 hours early, I left work again, he showed up 3 hours late. evaluation seem ed to go well, I was not informed of any problems. waited for a install date and time, still waiting several months later, no calls no contact, nothing if there was a problem I would like to know what.Very disapointed still want generator but will call someone else>

These guys are great - except takes forever to get them to come out and give service. But they are the only authorized service for 50 miles.
