Atlantic Coast Electrical Service

Mr Jan Tonkin

I ordered a Generac abt 15 years ago and that’s when I first met Mr Jan Tonkin. He has serviced my generator ever since. About 3 years ago, my family experienced a life altering event when we lived thru a tornado. Anyone who ever lives thru one of these life altering events will never forget how devastating and terrifying this can be. With everything this event brought I realized quickly that I not only had a Generac service tech but I had a man who truly cared abt my family and me. Jan didn’t hesitate when I gave him a call and asked for his help. This man helped us make sure we had the emergency power we needed to get thru the next couple of weeks with power and even ultimately helped us get regular electricity up and running. So when we decided to build another house, there was no doubt who I was going to call to make sure if I ever lost power at my new place, I’d have a Generac ready and waiting to fire up if needed. I picked up the phone and gave Jan a call and he immediately got me scheduled and got me set up with a 26kw. Also, between the horrific situation we faced w the tornado and building a new residence, we purchased a lake house. So once Jan finished getting us service at the new residence, I asked him to get Us on his busy schedule and let’s get another 26kw installed over at the lake house. Jan once again made it happen for us. So I have had Jan install 3 Generac and he maintains all 3. I don’t look at Jan as just some service guy who installs or maintains my Generac. I consider Jan a friend and part of my family. Once someone experiences a life changing event like a tornado, you look at the world a lot differently and I look at Jan as someone who stood with my family and help protected us when I wasn’t able.

Revised impressions

Was too harsh on ACES in my prior review. Since I can’t delete or revise it, I added commentary and submitted his one to balance out ratings.

Didn’t fix issue, no response

My generator went off line during its exercise run six weeks ago. RPM Sensor fault. I called ACES, the installer, several times during the first two week of outage, got NO response. One day someone shows up, does stuff that didn’t fix the issue, leaves, provides no status update. Called again several times over the next week, NO response. Again, someone shows up, works several hours, didn’t fix the issue, NO communication. Called again several times, still waiting.

Top notch Group!!!

Atlantic Coast is an awesome company and we HIGHLY recommend them. We originally went with a company recommended by Generac and it was an absolute disaster. Atlantic Coast came in and properly & quickly completed the the install along with fixing the damage caused by previous company. If GENERAC would like to contact us for me specifics & details please contact us.

Great!

2nd generator with this company. Installation and service highly recommended.

Ahead of Storm - worked on Labor Day!

I know that everyone wants their generator ready before the next storm. The flood of work on a Generac Dealer must be overwhelming. Well Jan came through. He worked on Labor Day to finalize my install and now I am ready for the storm. (Hope it passes, but at least I know my generator is ready if needed).

This dealer was great!

Our experience with Atlantic Coast Electric Services was excellent, from our first meeting with Jan through the completion of our installation, he along with his electricians, etc., were professional, well-informed and courteous. They answered any and all of our calls/texts in a prompt fashion. I would certainly recommend this dealer to any of my neighbors.

Peace of mind

You find find peace of mind knowing you have this dealer in your corner. He is very dedicated to his customers. He’s super busy, I guess because he’s so good, but we’ll worth the wait! If he tells you something, you can count on it! He takes care of his customers very well; In the recent hurricane, he went to great extents to make sure his customers were seen after. That says a lot right there! Thank you for keeping our power on.
