Beware: Do your Homework!

This review is in no way a bad reflection on the installers or technicians who work at APS. I doubt anyone would have an issue with those folks. This review is for the front line folks such as those who are supposed to oversee your project. These folks in this specific group will not follow-up to ensure your issues are addressed. I had connectivity issues, missing manuals and broken parts that needed to corrected. These folks refuse to answer texts or return calls to address my concerns. I had to call Generac myself to have them send me the missing manuals and broken parts. When I called APS to advise them that I couldn't connect to the WiFi or the Cellular service these issues fell on deaf ears. Calling Generac tech support to help me address these issues led me to repair a broken wire and a mis-wired plug only to find out the cellular service was never activated. I don't have the info to activate APS does and refused to activate it as I paid for this service. My advise is to try Reliable Power Systems. At least they answer their calls and their website actually works ALL the time. Avoid the APS folks at any cost. You've been warned.....not worth the 13.5K mistake had I simply hired an electrician, plumber, excavator and a landscaper and did the installation myself as a general contractor. I mentioned in the review that they don't follow up with issues right? Well, ask yourself what would happen if you needed your generator during an emergency and contacted APS that you have problems, how would APS respond? I wouldn't count on them at all. APS is not a trustworthy business. Don't believe this review?.....read the others on yelp. Hopefully you did your research before the fact unlike us. Learn from other folk's and our mistakes and be aware of all the situations that you could fall into. GOOD LUCK Forgot to mention, when you call the main number you'll hear the options for different departments....These are the folks I'm talking about....this is who you would be calling if your generator has any issues you need to have addressed.

Unexpected visit

This morning after oversleeping from a long European trip, I went outside to find Wayne, an APS tech, working on my generator. He told me that he was here for my 3 times a year maintenance contract, which I forgot I had. And that everything on the generator was fine except it needed a new starter motor, and to my delight, that was completely covered for parts and labor in my agreement with APS. Futhermore, since my tank cover was covered by some plants, he asked if I had a garden cutting took which I found, and he cut the growth back so he could read my tank propane levels. Call this above and beyond and makes me so happy to recommend APS for overall customer service, wow is all I can say. I will shout from the rooftops, these are the guys you should hire. Excellent Service

This review is for the semiannual generator check-up today. The service technician, Javier, was most professional, courteous, and competent. He called to alert us he was on his way and arrived when scheduled. He explained what he was going to do, and when he completed the service, he professionally explained what he did and what needed to be replaced. We are most satisfied with APS.

Dealer has difficulty in providing timely serving for on local covered customers.

Dealer has moved to almost exclusive use of internet for customer communications and updates. I experienced difficulty in locating the correct contact when I had a question or issue. When I did, the typically was explained by my being non local and the business transition to electronic channels. The workers and technicians are very good and as I managed my business, the issues, if recognized by leadership are not difficult to identify and resolve.

Always professional, knowledgeable and extremely good in their technical field. Had annual tune up today and Justin the tech was awesome! I am always impressed with how great their service is every time… So happy I have APS …. Feel secure that my generator is always in top condition… ready for any storm!
