Great generator & install

After researching for the best generator, we selected Generac natural gas generator. Then we read many reviews for electricians on the Next Door app, we chose Anderson Electric. Craig cane out to our home to assess our needs and the location of the generator. He arrived on time and we talked about what size generator would be the best fit for our home. Craig is polite and personable and really listens to you. I didn't feel rushed or pressured in purchasing a particular size generator or service. After discussing what my wife and i wanted from the generator, he recommended the size. He saved us money by referring a smaller generator than the one we thought we needed. Craig throughly explained what our options were and the entire process. He ordered the generator, pulled all the permits, arranged for the plumber and scheduled the city inspections. He said there were two options for the transfer switch. The first is a stand alone switch that is between the generator and the breaker panel. The second is having a breaker panel that has the transfer switch built into it. The advantages of having the switch as part of the breaker panel is it takes up less space than the stand alone and you get a new breaker panel, which is good if you have an older home. We opted for the panel with the switch built in, to save space. It cost a bit more that just the switch. Craig noticed a couple of breakers that needed replacing and put them in free of charge. Anderson Electric is a family owned local business. Krista, Craig's wife runs the office and throughout the process she kept us informed and answered questions. The install took 2 business days and the inspection took 2 visits one for the electrical and one for the natrual gas. Total time 3 days. We heard an unusual noise coming from where the gas line was located. We called Anderson Electric and Krista sent someone out to investigate the same day. He climbed into the attic and took pictures of what he found and showed them to us. Great customer service. After the installation was finished, he came by and explained and demonstrated the operation of the transfer switch and the generator. We took a video of it. Also, Anderson Electric took care of the warranty registration. They are a full service company. They cleaned up the work site and the installation was very tidy and neat. The gas line inspector said after inspecting it, that it was simple and clean. He said Anderson Electric knows what they are doing. We highly recommend Anderson Electric and Generac. Anderson Electric does a great job. If you need any electrical work done, give Anderson Electric a call! You won't be disappointed. It was a stress free experience. Now my wife and I don't have to worry about power outages.
