Frustrating

In all fairness, the older gentleman was very kind in the beginning . Him and his son came out to do measurements. I had him show me exactly where the generator would be when everything was done. When it was done, it was not in the agreed upon location. It took them over one month to come out and move it. The younger man was very rude. I was happy with the agreed upon location. We had the propane hooked up, and the machine didn't work. Come to find out there is a switch that has to be moved to the propane setting. Was it intentionally moved to natural gas? I can only speculate. Next, it didn't transfer power to the house with the first outage. They came out and did something in the panel box, but said nothing was wrong. But it worked the next outage. They were not willing to give me the peace of mind by simply acknowledging there was a minor error. So now, a year later, the base they put it on is falling apart. The 2x4s are lifting up as the pea gravel is filtering out from underneath. They refuse to come out and address the issue. When you go to one of the big box stores and hire them to do the install, you are actually get a subcontractor. Check who your contractor is.
