My Generator is just a year old. I had set up an annual maintenance contract with Alternative Power an authorized Generac dealer.

I have enjoyed EVERY interaction with Alternative Power\u2014 from installation, annual service, and the AMAZING customer service when my unit had an issue (still under warranty)! In the 18 months having this full house Generac- my experience with Alternative Power has been fully exceptional! I cannot fathom a better partnership! Nick in sales, Teresa in home office, Ken in the field\u2026.and others on this team- have been amazing! Talk about a company that takes extra care of their customers and always goes the extra mile for their customers... that's Alternative Power. They have helped me for over 5 years. I had a minor issue and called them recently. Spoke with Teresa and she assured me she would get it resolved and sure enough, tech was here the next day, and issue was resolved. She is always a pleasure to talk to and always asks how we have been. My wife had gone through medical issues in the past and she actually remembered and asked about her. Personable and just amazing. Ken is also great, personable, professional and really knows his stuff. Both are great representations of the company. Great experience with an outstanding dealer. My service tech (Will) was a very well spoken, articulate young man, Very respectful with manners very seldom seen from his generation. Will explained each step in my annual generator maintenance service with much patience and answered all my many question professionaly.The Service Manager (Teresa) was outstanding as well. From scheduling my annual.service, taking my payment over the phone and setting up my annual autodraft payment she to had great patience and explained everything professionaly. I would/will recommend this dealer to friends and family.

Alternative Power installed our Generac and performs the annual service. Installation scheduling and all the coordination was fantastic, Teresa managed this from start to finish. We just had our annual service which if you think you can do yourself, you cant, just look at the check list of things done. Kenneth came and arrived on the scheduled day and was terrific, very professional and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend Alternative Power to anyone.

As an engineer, I expect precision workmanship and Alternative Power truly excels. My sales consultant Nick was easy to work with and arranged for his technical and installation experts to answer my detailed questions before I purchased. Automated standby power systems are complex projects that when done expertly result in simple to use systems. They require code compliant modifications to electrical and gas systems, building permits, and compliance inspections. The Alternative Power team is well orchestrated. Dionne made the financial aspects easy and assured the most beneficial tax treatment. Pam and Amy coordinated all the scheduling, permitting, and logistics. Russ, the head of the installation department, personally helped me plan the most beneficial electrical installation, going the extra mile to relocate my electric meter for efficient equipment placement, something competitors quoting this project were not creative enough to consider. My local certified Generac technician Justin educated me about my system and placed it in service. Teresa, my service coordinator, ensures my system is properly maintained and reliable. Alternative Power is a local family-owned business with skilled professionals, exactly what I desire in long-term relationships.

This was my first scheduled service with Alternative Power for a new replacement generator i purchased last Fall through a different vendor. Teresa handled the scheduling and kept me informed of when the tech would arrive. Joshua was the tech and spotted a problem with the gas line and regulator and explained to me the issues and solutions. He also arranged to have the required work done the next day. Alex came out first thing the next morning and made the necessary changes to the gas piping and regulator. Then Joshua was back out within a few hours to complete his maintenance and testing to make sure everything was working properly.

The response time for our service call was impressive. Theresa, in the office, is always friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The technician, Joshua, was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable about our unit. It was fixed in less than 30 minutes. We are more than pleased with this dealer and their staff.

I just had a Generac generator installed by Alternative Power out of Cary, NC. From initial contact with the company to final setup the service was just amazing. I was contacted by Pam who scheduled the initial setup appointment, informed me of what to expect (date, time and who would do the setup). On date of setup Johnny arrived on time, informed me what was going to take place and time required to do all electrical hookup, get the electrical inspected by the county and then have power turned back on to my residence. Once that was completed I was contacted by Theresa who is responsible for scheduling final setup appointment and servicing of equipment thereafter. Mike arrived on time, completed the final instillation and fired up the generator without a hitch. Once he had checked the system out to insure it was operating correctly, he gave me a very detailed walk through on operation and what to expect, tested the transfer switch, (to insure once power goes out, generator will start up, and once power restored generator would shutdown). All systems worked as intended. On Sunday the generator started as programed. I look forward having this company service my Generac generator in the coming years. I would like to thank all the personnel I came in contact with for a job well done with outstanding professionalism. What an amazing experience.

I was referred by another company to Alternative power and so glad I was. They were very informative, professional and the service team was very prompt and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of service on their generator. I spoke with Theresa in service and what a pleasure it was. She went above and beyond to get someone out to me as quickly as possible. Because of my experience, I referred my neighbor and my neighbor is also contacting them to have a generator installed at his house. Great team to work with!

Contacted Generac directly in September and was referred to Alternative Power as an authorized installer. Appointment was scheduled for early October. No call/no show. Called Alternative Power directly in early November to inquire. Was offered an apology and a promise of an immediate return call. Now early December and still no call back.

I never imagined it would be so easy to get imformation/service on a system involved in a real estate transaction! They were friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with!

We purchased a house that already had a contract in place through Feb 2019 - the service person Justin did not have our contact info but stopped at the house to announce that he was going to do the service call, gave me a business card identifying him and the company and suggested I call Teresa to discuss the continuation of the contract.I called the office to commit to another year and Teresa made it easy and quick.

I purchased a 22Kw Generac from Lowes and I just wanted to express what an excellent dealer/installer Alternative Power Sales and Rental is. They installed my new home standby generator as part of the turn-key package. What a great company this is...outstanding experience from the initial consult, delivery, installation and start-up setup to complete. I am very impressed by the entire team from install to customer service. Everyone was knowledgeable, welcoming and helpful. I purchased the annual maintenance package as well as the 10 year extended warranty as well. I highly recommend this dealer if you are considering a standby generator of any size for your home or if you already have one and want them to service your current unit. My father also purchased the same generator across the street from me and same service package and warranty will be purchased after we have the initial setup / startup.Great dealer with considerate people and ready to listen, help and educate you concerning your purchase. Each step of the installation process was handled with professionalism and true customer service. The coordination of the permits, electrical work, gas line installation and final activation/testing went flawlessly. Generator Tech Justin arrived promptly at our residence on March 7th and completed the work to our Generac generator. It was a pleasure to have him come out and perform the necessary services. He also took the time to \u201ceducate\u201d me on the various aspects of the generator, including what I should do as the homeowner to ensure its proper operation. He did all this in a pleasant and patient manner and I enjoyed interacting with him on these details. We just completed the installation and activation of our Generac 22KW unit, and could not be more pleased. What was most impressive was across the board superb responsiveness and customer service. From the initial consultation and site visit to the financial arrangements to the final unit activation and operation tutorial on-site, everything was conducted with a high degree of professionalism and aplomb.
