A Wiring Man

A Wiring Man Five Stars

I chose “A Wiring Man” to purchase and install my 24kw Generac Whole House generator. The entire experience from start to finish was very Professional. Lawrence (the owner) and his team are very knowledgeable and do excellent work. I highly recommend ‘A wiring Man” if you’re thinking of installing a Generac Whole House Generator.

No Service

Purchased a home in April 2025 which had a Generac Generator purchased from A Wiring Man which needs an oil change in March 2026. Called A Wiring man twice, left voice mails & emailed requesting they call me to schedule oil change. Never heard from them, so my review is 1 Star.

Exceptional Installation

We decided to delay our review to make sure there were no issues with our Generac generator. We have debated buying a standby generator for some time, so we spent considerable time researching the market and reviewing information regarding installers. Lawrence and Linda, the owners, operate a well-run business that is very much customer oriented. Lawrence and a team member came to our house twice to accurately assess what our needs were and what they will be in the future in addition to a plan that met our budget requirements. After we gave him the OK, he started the process of obtaining a permit. The installation was done by Lawrence and his in-house installation team (Brian, Shane, Noah), all in one day. They also offer a preventive maintenance/repair program. The Management, Years of experience, Workmanship (no cutting corners), Integrity, Competitive pricing (you will get your monies worth), Excellent clean-up, Knowledge of stand-by generators, installation issues, Familiarity with city/county codes are all quality traits that make A Wiring Man a first-class generator installation company. They are skillful at doing their job which makes the finished work long lasting. It won’t matter how small or big your project is or what needs to be done, you will be more than satisfied. Important Facts when comparing bids: 1. Compare line-item costs vs. total project costs. That’s important. 2. How familiar is the installer with city/county codes as applied to your specific project? 3. Is the installation, preventive maintenance, repairs done by inhouse staff or outsourced or not the responsibility of the installer. 4. How long has the company been in business? 5. Is the company diversified into other businesses or focused on stand-by generators. 6. What is the involvement of the owner in the business?

A Wiring Man installed a whole house generator for me. I was impressed with the entire process. Everyone I had contact with was helpful and professional. I am extremely happy that they did the installation.

Excellent Service

Responsive, professional, communicated with us, on time for installation and cleaned up afterwards. An amazing circumstance occurred three days after installation. Our power went out at 8:30pm and 20 seconds later all was up and running. The power was out until 10:30 or so the following morning. Generator shut down perfectly when electrical service was restored. Never thought I would need the Generator that fast. I highly recommend A Wiring Man. Lawrence and Staff are great.

Best in So Cal

I never realized how complicated the installation was going to be. Lawrence and his crew are real experts and you really want an expert The crew arrived about 11:00 and began work, one man on the gas lines and another on the electric with lawrence supervising and working with each. No breaks, no lunch just work. They finished about 8:30 very friendly and they really know what they are doing. Have your wi-fi and password available , you will need it.

Lawrence is Outstanding!!

Lawrence aka: "A Wiring Man" took over the maintenance of our Generac 22kv generator after the original installing vendor left us hanging. Our generator was installed a year back and was due for the break-in service to be performed. I left several text messages to the installing vendor. Since the voicemail was always full not allowing any voice messages to be left text was the only way to contact them. I also had an issue with the network connection not functioning. Again, this was a year old issue which the original installer kept telling me they would be out to take care of it ........ THEY NEVER SHOWED. Here's what Lawrence did. My original contact with A Wiring Man was left on his WEB page, 15 minutes later his office manager called me. She set up a next day service which Lawrence serviced the generator and resolved the network issue all within 90 minutes. A Wiring Man is top end, friendly, honest, knowledgeable and fast ! I won't be calling the orginal installer and I hope they won't be calling me.

Lawrence is the man!

I'm able to write this review with several years of perspective on Lawrence - I bought my home generator from him and more importantly have observed the high quality service that he has provided for years post-sale. All my interactions with him have been very professional. He did a great job on the installation. The generator has worked perfectly whenever I've needed it and the fittings and look of the install are really precise and clean. As importantly, he's done the recommended semi-annual service for me and is always responsive when I have questions. Highly recommend!!
