1st Coast Generators, LLC

SCAM. DO NOT USE.

We prepaid for a generator to be installed, $7200 back in April 2024. Although we had some project delays it has now been months since we have tried to contact this man and get him onsite to finish the work. He will not return our calls. We have even messaged him on Facebook. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON. His business is also listed as "inactive" on the Division of Corporations website for the state of Florida.

Beware: Service Contract

Service Contract - Entered into a service contract with this company approximately one year ago, because we have medical equipment in the home that requires an alternate power source. Was happy with the preventative maintenance program, until we had a problem. They had assured us that we would “go to the top of the list” if we opened a service contract with them and ever had a problem. Received emergency shutoff notifications from the Mobile App and contacted First Coast Generator but had to leave messages. Did not receive a call back until Day 2. Phone instruction received to cancel the faults on the generator and reset it. Which we did. Technician assured us that the generator was back on-line. However, we weren’t comfortable with simply canceling the error alert on the generator panel. We decided to test it to make sure, but when we shut off the utility power, the generator did not come on. Contacted the company again to report the emergency shut off and they scheduled an appointment for the next day between 12:30 - 1:30. (Day 3 without an alternate power source) No one showed up all day and nobody notified us that there would not be the scheduled service call. After multiple calls/messages on Day 4 without a response, we had to call another generator service company who came to the house within two hours and repaired the issue. The service call was extremely expensive, but First Coast Generators left us with no other option.

Excellent, honest company to work with

I had a simple warranty issue with the transfer switch on my 22kw generator. I called several other dealers in the area and all of them wanted to charge me a non-refundable "trip charge" to come and and fix the issue under warranty. Some were as high as $600. That didn't seem right to me, given that Generac also pays the dealer for the parts and their time to fix warranty issues. Essentially, these other dealers are double dipping. Very dishonest, in my opinion. Thankfully, I ended up calling 1st Coast Generators. They came out two days later and resolved the issue in 30 minutes. No charge. They were punctual, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. I guess I found the dealer I will be working with in the future should I need their services again.

Timely, Affordable, and Great Service

1st Coast Generators was excellent to deal with from start to finish. We installed the new 24kw generator that Generac just came out with. The owners stayed up to just after midnight so he could get our order in and we would have one of the first 1,000 units Generac made. This ensured that we had our new generator installed within about three weeks from the date we ordered. The process was turnkey. We highly recommend 1st Coast Generators.

Helped me out

The price was good. and I needed helps since I have a husband to take care of . Found a generator that someone else was willing to wait for and installed it ASAP. Went the extra mile.

Friday night at 1:30am!

I’ve never heard of a company that answers the phone at 1:30 am in the morning and shows up to help us with our generator. Fair price and very friendly service.

Gets it done with speed and professionalism

We increased our interest in Steve at 1st Coast with the glowing recommendation from an electrician. Steve was prompt and on target with specification and pricing, and guided us through the process with confidence. He kept in touch while we waited for ARBoard review, and sprung into action once we had it. I like dealing with an owner who's hand on - Steve is fully in charge and just gets it done on time and in budget.

Very professional, prompt and helpful

Steve, has been great in all aspects of this process for us. He was prompt, courteous and professional from start to finish. He was the only dealer who actually followed up with us on regular basis and helped us to make the right decision. What's even more impressive is that we felt that he was genuinely looking out for our best interest with his recommendations. He helped us choose, the right model at the best price available with extra warranty for an overall best value. He was always catering to our busy schedule, which was a very pleasant change as compared to some other companies we considered. I would recommend his company to anybody who is looking for this type of product and service

Fast, Honest & Reliable

Steve gave me a quote for my standby unit service. Was able to help out on the spot and without breaking my bank. Thanks Steve, my kids can now still go to college!
