On 2 separate occasions, service tech did not show during appointment window

I recently purchased a house with an existing Generac residential generator installed by this dealer. I requested a service appointment, and that the service tech take me through its operation.

From the time I made my initial phone call to schedule a home assessment with Bill Yaw to the final installation, this company did a A1, SUPER PROFESSSIONAL AND EXCELLENT INSTALLATION on my Generac 11kw generator. I would HIGHLY recommend Zenner & Ritter for any job. Thanx again guys!

Had my annual generator's oil changed and tune-up a few weeks ago, by Jim the service tech. He is very courteous, polite and very knowledgeable of this product. I asked him a question and I received a reply quickly. I like that they use Royal Purple oil and you can see it on the dip stick. P.S. See you next Oct. Keep up the good work.RVB.50

Very disappointed

We contacted Zenner & Ritter to install our Generac 25kW emergency generator. We let them know that we live quite a ways north on the shore of Lake Ontario to be certain they serviced that area. After spending about 20 minutes on the phone answering numerous questions about the generator and the set-up at our home, we were told that they would provide us with a quotation within a week. We never heard another word from Zenner & Ritter! If they didn't want to do our job or travel all the way up to our house they should have told us from the start rather than waste our time. In retrospect I shouldn't be surprised as their representative did not sound very interested on the phone at all.

Zenner and Ritter was timely, professional and knowledgeable. The service personnel explained everything thoroughly and took their time to answer questions. They were also very clean. I would recommend them to anyone.

Best Price & Service

Zenner & Ritter installed our generator a little over a year ago. We received other estimates and were referred to them by a neighbor (who already had a system installed). They were the only ones that (1) provided several options rather than just "telling me what I needed" and explained the code / permit requirements. We selected an air cooled 10kw.

Worst Customer Service Ever

We had Zenner & Ritter install a liquid cooled 18kw generator. They were very responsive until the contract was signed. Once that happened, very poor customer service. They have on multiple occassions forgot to order the correct parts for maintenance. I just had them come out for an anti-freeze change. While doing it, the fan broke and went into the radiator. Comment was "Generac has had some problems with their fans". We have had to hound them for return calls and updates on parts. Their response was "the phone calls have been crazy". (Solution: hire more friendly knowledgable people) I have waited over two weeks to get this far, now they are saying the parts will take at least two weeks and they will see about getting us a service appointment. They were very quick to say that there isn't anything the can do to help us as far as the fan and radiator. I am definitely going to look for another service company. If this is Generac's elite company, I may have picked the wrong generator company to go with also. What a nightmare. High winds forcasted for Friday and I have a $10K paperweight for a generator:(
