Dan Charles and charles electric are fantastic.We recently had heavy rains, and I wanted to connect my portable generator up to my sump pump. My generator would not work. I called Charles electric on Sunday and Dan answered the phone. Dan told me to bring the generator to his home on a Sunday and he had the generator repaired the following day. Thank God because we got a big storm that night. If Dan didn\u2019t fix my generator, the house was flooded. We really owe it to Charles electric. Thank you to Charles electric. They showed up right before Thanksgiving and since we haven\u2019t had our generator and serviced over four years, they were a lot of things that needed attention. Dan had all the parts on his van to get us running again and now I see why we need to do our yearly service or every 200 hours.. thanks guys

agree with all the positive Yelp reviews on DanCharles! My one-year old Honeywell (Generac)generator was working fine, but the transfer switchwas not. I contacted a few electricians prior tofinding out about Dan Charles and none werequalified to work on it. I finally contacted Generacand Charles Electric was one of the authorizedtechnicians they recommended. Despite his busyschedule, Dan fit me in and couldn't have beennicer, more communicative or more qualified towork on my system. Dan and his assistant Jamisonshowed up a couple of days after I contacted him,as promised, serviced my generator and figured outmy switch problem. Not only did he diagnose theproblem but he had the specific circuit board Ineeded with him in his truck. All in all the servicecall was a complete pleasure and everything isworking again - thanks

We Called Charles electric our local Generac dealer only to find out person that was servicing our generator before Dan and his team overfill the oil and it almost caused the engine to meltdown. Dan showed us there was oil that in the air filter box.not good! Dan really drove home the point that you never overfill your generator and if anything he says he\u2019d rather have you put no oil in than too much. Our generator is working properly now and thank God the fire season is here and it\u2019s hot and dry where we live.can\u2019t live with out Genny. Dan came highly recommended and Install my Mobile Link Wi-Fi and minutes. In the process he diagnose they needed a new battery and was very knowledgeable and showing me everything from the generator to the Transfer Switch how everything should work. Hello: As we all know here in California utility power is always being turned off for many reasons. We got sick and tired of not being able to rely on our PG&E. now that were teaching our kids at home because pandemic and working at home there\u2019s never been more of a crucial for redundant consistent backup power. We are also referred to Charles Electric from Our Neighbor oh had a whole back up system installed and couldn\u2019t be happier especially now since the power\u2018s going out every day in the summer heat. Thank God for dan. We have new liquid cooled unit installed from somebody other than Charles Electric. it never really worked right. Dan came down right away and when I found out he was a local Generac technician right in my backyard I couldn\u2019t believe it, we\u2019ve been looking for years for somebody. Dan and Matt then showed up eagerly and excited to help us understand what we had. After an hour Dan made us understand how are Generator should work and why we were having me issues we were having. When I got my generator installed the installer just handed it to us and said good luck. What I didn\u2019t know was I needed a working relationship with a service provider so that if something went wrong or just when the generator needed yearly service Dan and his team from Charles Electric were there. Nobody told us our generator needed yearly service. Dan one and his team showed up and educated us our confidence went way up in our back up generator system. Now I understand what\u2019s happening and how to verify that the generator is ready to go. Dan signed us up on Mobile Link so now were electronically tethered to the generator so we don\u2019t have to walk down to the backyard or it\u2019s very difficult for us to get to. Charles Electric is one of the only Generac dealer and certified technicians in the bay area and give Dan a call. Thank God for a local generac technician.

When Dan showed up we were desperate. We had a generator installed two years previously and the person who installed it never even told us that had oil or a battery in it. Dan educated us not only on the generator but he showed us how the transfer switch works individually what to look for so you know the status of your generator whether it\u2019s on utility or back up. I personally feel having a teammate like Dan show up once a year is just what is needed to maintain this investment. We were going to try to do with the service ourselves and then we were told that Nolan voids the seven year warranty. We don\u2019t have to worry anymore Dans the man. When it came time to have preventive maintenance done on my Generac, I called the installer and they recommended Charles Electric for maintenance and service. Dan is great! He had me watch as he cleaned everything and at the same time, he explained the operation of the generator and electrical panel. He provided troubleshooting tips and had me try some of them myself. He told me what to watch out for and gave me a set of keys for the housing, something the installers neglected to do. I recommend Dan without hesitation. He is a great teacher as well as a diligent service provider.
